A Gamers' Manifesto

This is really funny. True and funny.

"20 things gamers want from the seventh generation of game consoles "

Example:

3. Don't bullshit me about your graphics

How, in 2005, can there still be gamers taken in by EXCLUSIVE SCREENSHOTS of games that are obviously taken from cutscenes and have NO connection with what the actual game will look like? I blame the developers formerly known as Square for this. They're the ones who ran their entire ad campaign for Final Fantasy VIII with shots like this:

...for a game that looked like this:

ff8game[1].jpg
Now, that was a great game and the actual game looked fine for its time. But stop treating us like morons.

Yes i can recall it also.

Good

Sir, I do believe you may, in fact, be mentally retarded. If you honestly thought for even a second that Square intended to produce graphics like the top screenshot on the PS1 then I believe a counseling session could be in order. Mental retardation is no joke and if you are unaware of your condition, letting it go untreated, you may be a threat to yourself and those around you. Comments like that not only degrade yourself but your fellow man. I feel as though my brain is crying; I am now dumber having read what you posted. Square has never falsely advertised a game in their long, upstanding track record. There are very few games in the PS1 era that did not take advantage of CG cutscenes, Square was simply heads and shoulders above the competition in this field. So next time you're going to insult our intelligence and prove how hardcore you are by dissing Square, do us all a favor and learn the shit. Thanks for your time.

Cheers, man!!
